{"id":11339,"date":"2025-02-20T09:47:00","date_gmt":"2025-02-20T07:47:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/libsite.asapbg.com\/?p=11339"},"modified":"2026-04-16T09:47:51","modified_gmt":"2026-04-16T06:47:51","slug":"regional-competition-for-the-2024-annual-library-awards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/libvratsa.org\/en\/regional-competition-for-the-2024-annual-library-awards\/","title":{"rendered":"Regional competition for the 2024 Annual Library Awards"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Hristo Botev Regional Library and<br>Regional Association of the Bulgarian Library and Information Association (BBIA) \u2013 Vratsa Section<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Statute<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>of the regional competition for the 2024 annual awards:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Best Library in Vratsa Region 2024<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Best Librarian in Vratsa Region 2024<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support for Libraries 2024<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">General conditions for participation:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1.1.<\/strong> All libraries and library specialists from public libraries in the region and their partner organizations may participate in the competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1.2.<\/strong> The awards are presented on the occasion of May 11 \u2013 the professional holiday of library and information specialists, for achievements over the past two years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1.3.<\/strong> The award consists of an honorary plaque.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. The awards are granted on a competitive basis for:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2.1.<\/strong> Achievements in fulfilling the mission of libraries and contributing to their prestige;<br><strong>2.2.<\/strong> High standards and quality of library services;<br><strong>2.3.<\/strong> Initiated advocacy campaigns, including events aimed at promoting reading;<br><strong>2.4.<\/strong> Activities aimed at improving the quality of life in the community;<br><strong>2.5.<\/strong> Innovative library services introduced for users;<br><strong>2.6.<\/strong> Specific professional achievements during the defined period;<br><strong>2.7.<\/strong> Joint initiatives and partnerships with other institutions and organizations contributing to community development;<br><strong>2.8.<\/strong> Activities promoting and enhancing the reputation of BBIA;<br><strong>2.9.<\/strong> Implementation of projects of public significance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. Nominations may be submitted by:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Library directors;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Public and school trustees;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>BBIA members;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Representatives of local authorities;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Public, professional, and non-governmental organizations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4. Nominations cannot be submitted by libraries or librarians for themselves, nor in cases of conflict of interest.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5. For each nomination, a standard application form must be completed, accompanied by supporting documents.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Form for \u201cBest Library\u201d category can be downloaded here;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Form for \u201cBest Librarian\u201d category can be downloaded here;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Form for \u201cSupport for Libraries\u201d category can be downloaded here.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">6.
