Black-and-white and color photographs, front and back, from different periods of the 20th century, with themes such as “Vratsa and the Vratsa region,” “Lifestyle and traditions,” “Festivals and customs,” “Traditional clothing,” “Community centers and cultural life,” “Schools,” “Churches and monasteries,” “Natural landmarks,” and more.
Transferred and processed from analog audio media (reel-to-reel tapes, audio cassettes) into digital format, including folk songs, legends and tales, locally oriented stories, fairy tales and customs – festive folk calendar, traditional crafts and labor activities, children’s games and sayings, folk meteorology and traditional medicine.
Books, collections, commemorative sheets, and other documents (posters, programs, invitations, etc.) related to the tradition of the Botev commemorations and the Kozloduy–Okolchitsa march, among others. The thematic collection also includes rare local publications dedicated to Hristo Botev and the Botev detachment; as well as the Botev sites from Kozloduy to the Vratsa Balkan.
The library’s publications present the rich cultural and historical heritage of the Vratsa region through thematic series, collections, and research studies. They bring together folklore materials, archival documents, and scholarly works created in partnership with cultural and educational institutions.
