The Hristo Botev Regional Library – Vratsa is organizing the “Most Reading Class” competition, aimed at all students and homeroom teachers of children from 1st to 4th grade.
Who can participate?
All primary school classes (grades 1–4) from schools in the city of Vratsa can take part in the competition.
How to register?
Applications for participation are submitted by homeroom teachers either:
- in person at the central library building, 43 Petropavlovska Street (Children’s Department), or
- at the branch in the “Dabnika” residential area, in the building of the Municipal Representative Office.
The registration deadline is February 28, 2025.
When registering, teachers must submit a list of all students in the class so that active library cards can be prepared for them.
How does it work?
Librarians from the Children’s Department and the branch record each book loan made by students in the automated library system.
Loans can be made during group visits with teachers or individually, upon presentation of a valid library card.
The participation period runs from March 4 to May 16, 2025.
Prizes:
Four awards will be given:
- “Most Reading 1st Grade Class”
- “Most Reading 2nd Grade Class”
- “Most Reading 3rd Grade Class”
- “Most Reading 4th Grade Class”
Each winning class will receive an individual prize. Winners will be selected using the automated library system.
The awards will be presented at an official ceremony at the end of May 2025.
